William “Max” Wyler (Chairman)

Mr. Wyler lives in Palmetto Bay.  He has four children; two in college, Samantha and Carly, and two at home, Alexandra and William “J.C.”  Alexandra was diagnosed with autism at 25 months.  Max has a B.S. in Finance from Kansas State (Fort Hays) University.  He is co-founder (1988) Accord Video Productions, owner of The Beach Channel (2009).  He has received many production related awards included (1989) Angel Award for “Easter Seal” Documentary, (1995) Vision Award for “Corporate Imagination”, (2002) Telly Award for “This is CARD”, (2009) Telly Award for “Taking It to Tempe”.  He has served on the board of the UM/NSU CARD Center, as well as current board member for the Florida Emmy Awards.
 

Carrie Landess, M.D. (Vice Chairman)

Dr. Landess is a neurologist who practices in North Miami Beach, Florida.  She graduated from Cornell University in 1984 with a degree in psychology and received her medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico in 1989.  Dr. Landess has practiced in South Florida since 1994.  She is also the parent of a child with autism.
 

Elisa Suarez, D.D.S. (Treasurer)

Dr. Elisa Suarez is a general and cosmetic dentist who practices in Plantation, Fl. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994 with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery, she continued her studies as a resident working at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the Miami VA and Miami Children’s Hospital where she received intensive training in advanced dental procedures and surgery. She has dedicated her career to bringing healthy and beautiful smiles to her community. Dr. Suarez has been an active member of our SFACS PTSO, serving as the fundraiser coordinator from 2009-2014, and as SFACS PTSO Vice President from 2015-2017. Elisa is married to her high school sweetheart, Alex. They have 2 children. Elexa, who is attending the University of Florida and Nicholas, who is a student at SFACS, and attends our Postgraduate Program.
 

Tamara Moodie Ph.D. (Secretary)

Dr. Moodie has 17 years experience in autism education. She has a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Special Education, and a Ph.D. in Education/Administration, and is certified to teach in the State of Florida. She has also completed her coursework for her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. Dr. Moodie is presently the Principal/Director at SFACS.  Dr. Moodie was recently honored as part of Legacy Magazine’s “Top 25 Most Influential & Prominent Black Women in Business,”  as well as “2011 Woman of Excellence” by Nostalgia in Gold, Inc.
